In his first season as Head Coach at The Woodlands High School, Coach Jorgensen led the Lady Highlanders varsity team to a 25-5 record - best in school history - and was named District 14 Coach of the Year.
His second season was even better! Varsity finished with a 29-7 record - again best in school history - and was Bi-District champions in the playoffs!
In his third season, Varisity won its first District Championship in school history and finished with a 27-8 record as Regional Quarterfinalists in the state playoffs.
Coach Jorgensen has been teaching for 10 years. He ran the alternative education program for Eanes ISD for seven years. He is now teaching Honors Economics at TWHS. He is in his seventh year of coaching. He coached the Westlake JV Softball Team for three years. In his last season at Westlake, he was named Head Coach and took the team to their first playoff appearance in five years. Coach Jorgensen became Head Softball Coach of The Woodlands Highlanders prior to the start of 2004.
Coach Jorgensen is from Port Arthur, Texas. He lived in Austin for 12 years before moving to The Woodlands in the summer of 2004. He has been married to his wife Gina for 21 years. They have two daughters and one son.
